Creative Portraits
Creative portrait sessions are a great way to get up to date photographs for your personal social media, to give to family members, or just to mark a special time in your life. They’re a great way to just celebrate YOU and all of your accomplishments in this crazy thing called life. If you’ve ever looked through your photographs and thought, “Why am I not in more of these?” then treat yourself to a custom photo session, where we will create thoughtful and creative images that capture your energy and beauty.
Who is this for?
Anyone! Portrait sessions are for anyone wanting photographs of themselves, that won’t be used for business use. Some examples are high school seniors, maternity shoots, graduation, photographs for your dating profile, or just to celebrate this wonderful time in your life.
Where do we start?
We start with a phone or video call to discuss why you want the session, the general vibe you’re looking for, and come up with some ideas for location and outfits. Then you’ll sign an industry standard contract and pay a $100 non-refundable retainer to reserve the time/date of your session. If you have a mood board you’d like me to see, please send it my way! I have a list of locations that don’t require permits, but we can also look into applying for a local permit if you have your heart set on somewhere specific.
What happens at the session?
The fun begins! We will walk around our chosen location, whether outdoors or indoors, and snap away! I’ll give you guidance on how to move your body so the portraits look relaxed and effortless. We’ll do a variety of standing and sitting poses, close ups and shots from further away. You’ll receive the images no later than 1-2 weeks after the session in a digital gallery, where you can select your favorite images.
